One of my readers, Tashana from Chicago sent in this letter…
“Hi Elsina! First off, I’d like to tell you how much I LOVE Fashion Blog Love! Your blog’s become one of my daily reads because I love that you share with your readers, all that inspires you as a blogger, including reblogs I would’ve never come across had I not been reading FBL.
Right, so I’m writing in to ask your opinion on something that’s been bugging the hell outta of me as of late; Kim Kardashian’s style… or the lack of it! I’m totally convinced that her style has derailed since hooking up with Kanye and that like his time with Amber Rose, Kanye’s evidently re-added the role of Girlfriend’s Live-in Stylist’ to his long list of skills! I totally miss Kim’s old style, which was playful, fun day looks that were so on trend and well thought out. Yes, I know that was all down to her (former?) stylist Monica Rose, but her looks were just so perfect!
She’s had a few hits, amongst a slew of misses in recent weeks, and whilst I do find her Kimye (Kim + Kanye) matching shoes pics real cute, I just think overall, her style and outfits have seen better days! Not to mention her make-up!
Like W.T.F? Where’s Monica these days? Is she no longer Kim’s stylist?”

Hi Tashana! Thanks for your letter! I think you and a million other girls are thinking the exact same thing! I too have noticed a drastic transformation in Kim’s style, and I’m right with you in missing more of Kim’s old style! Her looks used to be more on trend, more consistent, more colourful, more lady-like! The complete opposite to these absolute style ‘Misses’ below…
Like, seriously?? Where’s all the glam? Fabulousity? The edgy, stylish accessories which she and Monica Rose pumped us over the years? Now? We’ve been reduced to all black everything, all of the time black, leather, unflattering silhouettes, menswear as womenswear… like, we need to be out on the streets protesting! Ok, not really, but you know what I mean.
I’m not sure Kanye’s influence is completely to blame for Kim’s recent outfit choices (don’t quote me on that, haha), because Kim has had a few cute looks since hooking up with ‘Ye…
But I guess those just don’t compare to these “before Kanye” looks…
…a few of my favourite Kim Kardashian looks! Sooo chic! I totally miss this! So yes Tashana, I do believe Kim’s style has taken a tumble, but it’s definitely not down and out. Kanye has obviously had some sort of influence on her dress sense, but Kim’s style is not entirely crushed.

I miss the color and flare. I’m glad she’s happy with Kanye but i think she may be giving him too much say in her appearance. Change is good but not when it’s for someone else.
Absolutely! Let’s hope she adds some colour back into her wardrobe and gets back to her girly self.
